APPLICATIONS  
Mode of action Absorbed mainly through the shoots of germinating seedlings; accelerates the detoxification of metolachlor in maize. Benoxacor has no herbicidal activity of its own. 
Uses Used as a herbicide safener, benoxacor increases tolerance of maize to metolachlor under both normal and adverse environmental conditions. Does not affect activity of metolachlor on susceptible species. Available only in mixture with metolachlor, as a 30:1 ready mix.
