74th Serbia International Agricultural Exhibition in May 2008 was held in the third largest city Novi Sad in Serbia. The exhibition is the largest in Serbia, but also in Europe one of the major agricultural exhibitions.
In 2007, more than 60 countries more than 2,000 companies in the field exhibits display the products, including agricultural machinery, agricultural chemicals, livestock equipment, irrigation equipment, food, fruit, livestock, and so on.
As the developed agricultural area in Serbia, the Danube and the Sava river, the Tisza River, is the most important agricultural region, which is famous for granary. Serbia's agricultural land per household on average area of 4.6 hectares, 9.3 percent of rural households have more than eight hectares of land, the main crops are corn, wheat, sunflower, sugar beet, soybeans and other food crops and various kinds of vegetables, fruits, animal husbandry. |
