On 10th August, Chinese pesticide regulatory authority ICAMA has granted approval to a 50% profenofos EW product for control of rice leaf folder. The product, developed by a Chinese company in Jiangxi, will be the first EW formed profenofos product in China.

At present, 200 profenofos-related approvals have been granted by ICAMA, including 12 authorizations of ai and 138 combined mixtures. For formulation view, EC formulation was most registered by the applicants, 184 approvals have been granted to EC products. Other 4 authorizations were granted to formulation types of ME, WP, GR and EW.
