Including insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, China exported 166,000 tones of pesticides valued at $0.49 billion in the first quarter of 2010, reflecting 25.3% volume growth and 25.8% higher value, reports Agropages. Due to the reviving economics, Chinese pesticide export advanced significantly both in volume and value.
Insecticides exports reached to 40,000 tones, valued at $0.13 billion, increased by 54.9% and 58.7% respectively. The main export destinations were Pakistan, Thailand, Ghana and Ukraine.
Fungicides exports reached to 18,000 tones, valued at $73.27 million, increased by 64.4% and 43.3% respectively. The main export detinations over 1,000 tones volume were Ukraine, Vietnam, and Belgium.
The exports of herbicdes and other pesticides reached to 107,000 tones, valued at $0.28 billion, increased by 12.8% and 20.5% respectively. The top destinations for herbicides were Nigeria and Ghana, ccounting for 19% of totak exports.
